Cloverland sets June 6 hearing on offender rule

The town of Cloverland will hold a public hearing on a proposed sex offender placement ordinance this Thursday, June 6, at 7 p.m. at the Cloverland Town Hall.
The ordinance draft came about after a convicted sex offender was placed in a rental home on Chickaree Drive of River Road by the Wisconsin Dept. of Corrections.
The ordinance under consideration would prohibit any registered sex offender from lodging or residing anywhere within 2,000 feet of a child safety zone, which includes, but is not limited to, parks, daycare centers, boat landings, town hall property, any town
