Over 100 acres of water milfoil treated on Chain

Cranberry, Watersmeet lakes see greatest increase in AIS

Representatives with the Unified Lower Eagle River Chain of Lakes Commission report that 106 acres of Eurasian water milfoil (EWM) were treated with herbicide on the Eagle River Chain of Lakes this spring.

The treatment, with the herbicide Sculpin G., began in late May and continued several days, according to Carole Linn, public communication coordinator for the commission.
