|Taxpayers would pay if ATVs allowed on ‘A’|
Letter to the Editor:
Although I agree with the last two editorials in this paper concerning all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), I take issue with the editor’s suggestion to Oneida County that Highway A “needs a wider paved surface before the county considers any additional motorized vehicles for route access.”Will the Nicolet ATV Club pay for this widening project? I don’t think so.
I’ll tell you who will pay for it — the taxpayers of Oneida County. These are the same people who will be paying for the increased enforcement, maintenance, liability insurance premiums and lawsuits — should it come to that.
