Vilas County reports death of Sheriff Frank Tomlanovich PDF Print E-mail

The Vilas County government has reported that Vilas County Sheriff Frank Tomlanovich died at his home Wednesday night after a short illness. Funeral services are pending.

Tomlanovich, 61, was employed with Vilas County for 34 years and started with the sheriff’s department in 1979 after working at the Eagle River Police Department.

He was a patrol deputy for nearly 15 years and was promoted to detective sergeant in 1994, serving in that capacity for 16 years. He was elected Vilas County sheriff in the fall of 2010.

 

The Vilas County government extended its condolences to his immediate family, relatives, friends and sheriff’s department staff.

I was so saddened to hear of Frank's passing. He was such a nice guy and will be missed. Rest in Peace.
