Vilas County Sheriff

Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week reported at least 17 vehicle accidents, four re­quests for an ambulance, 10 animal problems, four re­quests for agency assistance, six burglar alarms, one burglary, 10 requests for citizen assistance, 18 re­ports of hazardous conditions, five juvenile problems/runaways, nine disturbances, 16 reports of suspicious circumstances, five thefts, six traffic violations, two threats, two vacation checks, seven welfare checks, 25 911 hang-ups, three reports of operating while intoxicated and 10 drug problems.

At least 27 calls were re­ferred to the Eagle River Police De­partment and there were at least 30 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, at least two people were booked at the Vilas County Jail, including one for operating while intoxicated and one for possession of THC.

During the week, the in­mate population ranged from 71 to 77. As of June 24, there were 77 inmates.

 

Eagle River Police

Among the calls received by Vilas County dispatchers were at least 36 calls for the Eagle River Police. These in­cluded three 911 hang-ups, two vehicle accidents, two burglar alarms, three requests for an ambulance, five animal problems, two requests for citizen assistance, one report of disorderly conduct, one forged signature, one gas drive-off, one restraining violation, one noise complaint, one parking problem, three reports of theft of property, one report of automobile theft, one hazard, four traffic violations, two reports of an unsecure premise and two welfare checks.

 

Three Lakes Police

This police department re­ported two 911 hang-ups, one abandoned vehicle, two vehicle accidents, one alarm, three requests for an ambulance, three animal problems, two requests for motorist assistance, three requests for agency assistance, one boating violation, one disturbance, two requests for an extra patrol, one instance of gunshots, 10 hazards, one welfare check, 20 house checks, three informational reports, one neighbor complaint, one instance of reckless driving, two services, four suspicious circumstances, eight traffic stops and three instances of vandalism.
