Clarence Olson, a lifelong resident of the Lakeland area, died June 12, 2013. He was 82.

Mr. Olson was born July 17, 1930, in Star Lake.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He retired after many years of running his own carpentry business.

His interests included hunting, fishing, playing football and softball, and he was known by many as “Chesty.”

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Joan; three daughters, Bonnie Light of San Antonio, Texas, Jodie Peters of Cedaredge, Colo., and Debbie Duncan of Woodruff; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial gathering was held Wednesday, June 19, at Bolger Funeral Home Minocqua Chapel.

Bolger Funeral and Cremation Services assisted the family.
