|Vilas adopts resolution policy; Alleman says consistency needed|

A policy to ensure consistency in the creation and submittal of resolutions and ordinances to the Vilas County Board was approved last week by the county Legislative and Judicial Committee.
Presented by county Clerk Dave Alleman, the policy identifies a required format, staff review, required committee action and signatures, submittal deadlines to the clerk and resolution archiving.
“This policy is necessary,” Alleman told the committee. “We want to make late resolutions extinct. Our past practice has not been uniformly followed.”The policy was approved by committee
