Lakes will be busy, but fish are active
By George Langley

The Fourth of July week is traditionally very hot and the fishing is OK, but not great, due to the summer fishing patterns and activity on the water.

This week should be nicer, with some sun and temperatures projected to be in the 70s or low 80s. That is great for outdoor enthusiasts of all stripes. Fishing will be comfortable and good, with a lot of action expected in the weeds on all lakes.

Water levels are higher than they were last year as the North Woods
