Vilas County highways being examined for invasive plants in summer project

Brigid Hanke, a summer employee of the Wisconsin Headwaters Invasives Partnership (WHIP), will examine approximately 400 roadside miles of Vilas County highways this summer looking for invasive plants.

Hanke will walk both sides of 200 miles of highways looking in the rights of way and on adjacent properties for plants that are classified as non-native invasive
