|Motor trolling rule now on idle in state|

Although the Natural Resources Board adopted a Department of Natural Resources (DNR) package of fish rule changes in May that would have allowed motor trolling statewide, Gov. Scott Walker ordered the DNR to hold off on the trolling rule.
Going into the rule change, the DNR wanted three-line-per-person trolling statewide. Sixteen counties — including Vilas and Oneida — objected to that rule at the April 8 spring hearings, but the DNR advanced the rule over those objections.At the annual Conservation Congress
