Cooler tempertures help anglers’ comfort

The cooler weather certainly has helped the fishing comfort out there. This is not typical for this time of year, especially after the overly warm and humid weather the North Woods had for the last several weeks.

Water temperatures have actually cooled a little. The North Woods probably will get more of that hot stuff in a few weeks, so enjoy this while it’s here.

Weeds are right up to the top of the water as they usually are at this time. Flies and mosquitoes are abundant, so take some insect repellant along. Some anglers noticed that the days are starting to get shorter already?

Walleyes are hitting very well for this time of summer. Of course, evenings
