Martha J. Lechner, age 78, a resident of Eagle River since 1999, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at her home.
She was born and raised in Memphis, Tenn., to Charles and Rose (née Johnston) Davidson. She attended Memphis State College.
She married Thomas Lechner on May 27, 1959, in Memphis, Tenn.Martha enjoyed traveling, shopping and sightseeing. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She volunteered her time at St. Peter’s Thrift Shop. She was a member of the Three Lakes Women’s Club.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Charlotte.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Lechner of Eagle River, Wis.; children, Dr. Christopher (Jana) Lechner of Asheville, N.C., Kimberly (Karl) Megalaitis of Pleasant Prairie, Wis., Matthew Lechner of Eagle River, Wis., and Daniel Lechner of Abbottsford, Wis.; six grandchildren, Kyle, Austin, Luke, Ashleigh, Ryan and Bryce.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Eagle River, Wis. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to the time of the service at the church.
