Sadie Hug of Eagle River died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Avanti Health Care Center in Minocqua. She was 95.
Mrs. Hug was born Aug. 30, 1917, in Butler, Ind., to Delbert and Hazel Krontz.
She moved to Eagle River in 1955 with her husband, Relmond Hug, after selling their Indiana farm.They owned and operated Hug’s Resort on Highway 70 for 40 years.
They retired to Apache Junction, Ariz., in 1995.
Her interests included fishing, art and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Betz; one son, Stanley; one sister, Joann Wehmer; brothers, Kenneth, and Floyd Krontz; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held Monday, Aug. 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Snows Anglican Church in Eagle River.
