William ‘Bill’ G. Gensler PDF Print E-mail

William “Bill” G. Gens­ler, of Racine and a St. Germain native, died Saturday, July 27, 2013. He was 75.

Mr. Gens­ler was born in Clintonville Feb. 11, 1938, the son of George and Bernece Gensler.

He attended Marquette University, worked as a medical technologist at St. Luke’s Hospital and then became a pilot.

He owned and operated Gensler Aviation out of Batten International Airport in Racine for more than 40 years.

Mr. Gensler had more than 40,000 hours of flight time, and was an instructor as well.

His interests included flying, taking long walks with his dog, cooking and socializing with friends.

Survivors include his sons, Daniel (Chris) of Coronado, Calif., Jeff (Suzie Heath) of Deltona, Fla., Jim of Palm Coast, Fla., and Steve (Margarita) of Fort Mill, S.C.; sister, Mary (David) Miller of New Smyrna Beach, Fla; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place Aug. 5 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Racine. The Rev. Terrance J. Huebner officiated.

Interment was at St. Germain Cemetery.
