|Master planning to begin again at Powell Marsh Wildlife Area|
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will hold a public information meeting on the management of the Powell Marsh State Wildlife Area Saturday, Aug. 24, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Manitowish Waters Community Center.
The DNR is resuming the master plan revision process for the approximately 4,800-acre wildlife area in Vilas County. The area lies three miles south of Manitowish Waters and is bounded on three sides by the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest and by the Lac du Flambeau Indian Reservation on the south.Department staff have updated the draft vision,
