|Council backs snomo trail plan|

Nearly 40 people attended a public hearing at Eagle River City Hall Monday night to support establishing some city streets as snowmobile arteries to allow residents and visitors access to state-funded snowmobile trails and businesses.
When asked if there was anyone present who was opposed to the proposal, no one spoke or raised their hand.
Before the meeting ended, council members gave preliminary approval to a trail access plan for the city and designated a trailer parking area. The council will consider the final plan at its September meeting.Jim Tidball, who lives on Bond Street, said
