Paper’s quality rivals the best PDF Print E-mail

Dear Editor:

Congratulations to all at the News-Review for the recently announced awards from the National Newspaper Association.

To think that the paper’s content and quality rivals that of the best newspapers in all 50 states! It doesn’t get any better than that.

We’re grateful for all the hard work and dedication that made the awards possible.

Too bad those workers aren't in a union that would protect against that garbage.

Content and Quality? That's funny...last month I was perusing the WJFW website and found an article (7/24 )headlined "Obamacare forces Trigs to limit workers hours". Two-thirds of the 1100 employees will be restricted to less than 30 hrs per week. As hard as I tried, I could find no mention of this NEWS in the VCNR. Apparently a story concerning a major employer and it's decision that will impact many citizens of Vilas County has no interest to this newspaper (cue sound of crickets chirping). Elections have consequences. How's that hope and change working out for you guys now? I guess a major economic story that does not reflect well on the agenda of the left will be ignored. Journalism? Don't blame me, I voted for the constitution
