Otto Krause, a longtime resident of Three Lakes, died Aug. 21, 2013, at Our Home K Care in Lac du Flambeau. He was 93.

Mr. Krause was born  Oct. 3, 1919, to Edward and Blanche Krause in Milwaukee.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and married Doris Kiesl in 1972 in Three Lakes.

He and his wife owned and operated Evenson’s Resort on Townline Lake for many years.

He retired from the U.S. Forest Service and was a fishing guide in the Three Lakes area.

Mr. Krause was a member of the Union Congregational Church of Christ, and a member of the Eagle River Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ed and Jerry.

Survivors include his sisters, Margaret Spiess and Lucille Evenow, both of Eagle River; four grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

A funeral service was held  Tuesday, Aug. 27, at the Gaffney-Busha?Funeral Home in Eagle River.

Visitation was held prior to the service at the funeral home.

Officiating the service was Gary Gilbert. A Masonic Lodge service was held.
