Larry passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at the VA Hospital in Iron Mountain, Mich. He was 72 years old.
He was born to Benjamin F. and Petronella (Van Harpen) Tuchalski on Nov. 25, 1940.
He attended St. Mary’s School in Rhinelander and graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1959.He entered the U.S. Coast Guard after graduation, where he became a dental technician. After serving 10 years in the military, he opened Northwoods Crown and Bridge Studio in Rhinelander.
Larry was married to Nancy (née Bowman) for 26 years, then divorced.
He was a sponsor for Ducks Unlimited for many years, and enjoyed hunting, trout fishing, gold prospecting and later in life, going to bingo.
Larry is survived by his daughters, Lorrie (Mitch) Moore and Theresa (Keith) Bennet; brother, Neil (Arvilla); sister, Lynn (Herman) Kubesh-Kielhold; grandchildren, Mitchell L. and Danielle M. Moore, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Benjamin N. and Josephine (Pospychala), and Peter and Cornelia Haring; parents, Benjamin and Petronella Tuchalski; brother, Steve (Terri) Tuchalski; his ex-wife, Nancy Ross; and his grandson, Jacob Bennett.
Celebration of Larry’s life was Saturday, Aug. 31, at the home of Mitch and Lorrie Moore.
