|Transition begins into fall fishing|

What an interesting transition period it will be for the next several weeks, as we go from summer’s high temperatures to fall’s dropping water temperatures and color. Many of us cherish our fall fishing more than any other time of year.
Lake water levels are good — much better than last year at this time. The North Woods has had enough rain to make a difference, which is certainly good news for all anglers and boaters.Water temperatures are again on the decline and will soon be heading toward the low 60s and even 50s. Anglers hope for a consistent decline into the 50s and really don’t want to see any more of those hard warm fronts. From this point forward, warming
