Eagles roll up 451 total yards in 46-8 victory

The Northland Pines football team improved to 3-0 with a 46-8 victory over Ontonagon, Mich., in a nonconference game last Friday night.

The Eagles rolled up 451 yards of offense in the game, while holding Ontonagon to 193 total yards.

“Ontonagon was a good nonconference opponent for us because they run a single-wing offense that makes us really stick to fundamental football, which is something we struggled with at times in the previous two games,” said Pines coach Eric Swanson.

“We really need to be more consistent with our fundamentals, which all players feel is important moving for,”
