SOAR charter school opens in Northland Pines district

The School of Options and Applied Research (SOAR), the first charter school developed by the Northland Pines School District, welcomed 43 students to their first day of classes in the Land O’ Lakes Elementary School last Tuesday.

The school, currently for students in grades five through seven, is designed to create an alternative approach for public education for the families of the Northland Pines School District and surrounding areas. The school will eventually add eighth-grade students.
