Cooper Kerner threw two touchdown passes and ran for another as Northland Pines defeated Hancock, Mich., 47-0 in a WestPAC game last Friday night.

Pines coach Eric Swanson liked what he saw in the road victory.

“By far, this was our best game of the year, in all phases of the game,” said Swanson. “I feel the players got on the bus and were more ‘business-like,’ referring to the overall focus of the players during the trip up to Hancock.  It surely carried over to the game as many players had great games.”

Pines took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a 10-yard
