Eagle River airport to get new equipment

Gov. Scott Walker recently approved a $182,205 project to purchase snow removal equipment and attachments for the Eagle River Union Airport.

Matt Malicki, airport  project manager with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT), said the equipment includes a wheel loader with bucket, snowblower and sweeper.

The equipment will lead to more effective and efficient snow removal operations at the airport, according to Malicki.

The funding breakdown is as follows: state, $5,163;
