|Book signing set this Saturday, Oct. 5 for couple who homesteaded in Alaska|
A Wisconsin couple who homesteaded in Alaska in 1969 and lived there for nearly a decade have written a book about their experiences.
Dona and Lanna Langdok wrote the book “Cheechako Sunrise, Sourdough Sunset” about living in Alaska. They will have a book signing at Book World in Eagle River this Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The book tells about the two small-town kids from Iola who moved to Alaska with their 2-year-old baby daughter and survived the hardships of homesteading.It wasn’t long before exciting and unexpected challenges
