Bluejays go 3-2 in soccer

In a busy one-week stretch, the Three Lakes Bluejays soccer team went 3-2, beginning with a 6-5 win over conference rival Ironwood, Mich., last Tuesday.

Three Lakes also lost 4-0 to Phillips Thursday before participating in a tournament in Antigo Saturday. The Jays went 2-1 to take second place, falling 2-1 to Gresham-Bowler, beating Antigo 3-2, and defeating Peshtigo 2-0.

The Jays beat Ironwood in double overtime, according to coach Jack Wales.

“We have been in so many close matches this year and we have not figured out how to win,”
