Fall Classic set Saturday in Three Lakes PDF Print E-mail

The Headwaters Chapter of Muskies Inc. in conjunction with the Three Lakes Chamber of Commerce will host the Fall Classic of Champions on the Three Lakes Chain of Lakes Saturday, Oct. 5.

Registration for this year’s catch-and-release tournament will take place Friday, Oct. 4, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Northernaire Resort in Three Lakes, which also serves as tournament headquarters.

According to Chapter Public Relations Director Scott Samuels, the Fall Classic will see several changes designed to make the event more appealing to anglers and guests.

The tournament is now a one day event, said Samuels.

“This gives our out-of-town participants more of the weekend to spend with their families” he said. “We’ve also lowered the price down to a very reasonable $50 per person. Finally, the minimum size for registering a fish has been lowered to 30 inches.”

Despite the reduced fee of $100 per team, the winning team will take home $3,000 based on a full field. Payments will be through fifth place.

To register, print out an application at headwatersmuskies.com to mail in or call Tournament Director Jay Hollnagel at (715) 891-5627.
