Trees For Tomorrow in Eagle River announced that 33 sixth-grade students from Three Lakes and Sugar Camp elementary schools learned about animal survival skills, deer populations and identifying trees during a recent visit to its campus Sept. 27.

As a result of the daylong visit Jim Kuchenbecker, teacher and principal at Sugar Camp Elementary, said “Students will be more aware of how their presence impacts animal habitats. They will also be more knowledgeable regarding forest management.”
