Vilas County Sheriff

Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week reported at least 17 vehicle accidents, two re­quests for an ambulance, three animal problems, three requests for agency assistance, 10 burglar alarms, two requests for citizen assistance, two batteries, three domestic violence complaints, one instance of found property, three harassment complaints, two hit-and-runs, one report of lost property, one threat, one weapons offense, five re­ports of hazardous conditions, five juvenile problems/runaways, two disturbances, seven reports of suspicious circumstances, six thefts, 11 traffic violations,  two vacation checks, five welfare checks, 11 911 hang-ups, seven drug problems and two ATV?problems.

At least 18 calls were re­ferred to the Eagle River Police De­partment and there were at least 15 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, at least two people were booked at the Vilas County Jail, including one for operating after revocation.

During the week, the in­mate population ranged from 73 to 76. As of Oct. 14, there were 76 inmates.


Eagle River Police

Among the calls received by Vilas County dispatchers were at least 22 calls for the Eagle River Police. These in­cluded one 911 hang-up, two vehicle accidents, one request for an ambulance, two animal problems, one business problem, one request for citizen assistance, three reports of criminal damage to property, one domestic violence complaint, one gas drive-off, two juvenile problems, three reports of suspicious circumstances, one theft, one threat and two traffic violations.


Three Lakes Police

This police department re­ported three 911 hang-ups, two vehicle accidents, three alarms, two requests for an ambulance, two requests for officer assistance, two animal problems, one request for motorist assistance, one re­quest for agency assistance, one ATV/dirt bike violation, two burglaries, 49 business checks, one request for an extra patrol, 11 hazards, four house checks, one informational report, one report of operating while intoxicated, one report of found property, one report of lost property, two reports of suspicious circumstances, one traffic complaint, seven traffic stops and one report of vandalism.
