|Public meetings set Oct. 28 to discuss DNR land sales|
Public informational meetings will be held by Department of Natural Resources (DNR) officials Monday, Oct. 28, in multiple locations to discuss the department’s proposed policy and procedures for the sale of public land in accordance with 2013 Wisconsin Act 20, which directs the Natural Resources Board to make at least 10,000 acres of land available for sale by June 30, 2017.
“We have revised our existing land-sale guidelines in order to create an effective system to carry out these statutory requirements,” said Kurt Thiede, DNR Land Division administrator. “The updated guidelines cover things such as establishing a minimum sale price to how parcels will be marketed and sold.Thiede said 2013 Wisconsin Act 20
