|Fire damages town of Newbold cabin|

TOWN OF NEWBOLD — The St. Germain Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire in an unoccupied cabin apparently used for storage at 7938 Huckleberry Lane in the Oneida County town of Newbold the evening of Oct. 14.
Authorities said the property, located on North Nokomis Lake, is owned by Daniel Sass.
While the property is in Oneida County, the St. Germain Fire Department is closer to parts of the town of Newbold because of lakes, wetlands and road access, so St. Germain was first on the scene. Other departments arriving at the fire were Newbold and Sugar Camp.Firefighters said St. Germain’s
