|Pines officials open bids for security entrances|

The Northland Pines School District opened several bids for safety and security upgrades at three elementary schools and the middle school last Tuesday.
Three firms submitted bids by the deadline and the bids were opened at the district office by Jody Andres, senior architect for the firm of Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. of Appleton. Also present were District Administrator Mike Richie, two persons from the firms submitting bids and the news media.In addition to the base bid, there were two alternative bids requested:
