|Assembly passes bill to raise speed limit|
The Wisconsin State Assembly passed a bill last week raising the maximum speed limit from 65 to 70 miles per hour on freeways and expressways.
The bill must first be passed by the Senate and signed by the governor before it becomes law.
At that point, it could take up to six additional months for the Department of Transportation (DOT) to post the higher limits on the rural freeways that are part of the Interstate system.“This bill is a commonsense bill, and I am pleased they passed it today,”
