Supports Duffy’s vote against debt ceiling PDF Print E-mail

Letter to the Editor:

I support Rep. Sean Duffy’s vote against the debt ceiling. America is borrowing too much money and the government’s spending is out of control.

Unless Congress reforms the growing entitlements, including Obamacare, the government should not be given the ability to continue borrowing without accountability.

Rep. Duffy is fighting for the next generation by voting for reform and fiscal responsibility.

John
I want to assure you that my criticism has nothing at all to do with the substance of your positions. We are of like mind on most political, social, and economic issues.

It's just that at some point you must realize that engaging with Frank over an extensive period is not only frustrating, but pointless. There is a moment when, as I discovered, you state your case the best you can....and walk away. Frank will invariably seek to get in the last word and bait you into continuing. And so it goes... and goes... and goes.

There are reasonable people -- such as Denny and Tim -- with whom it is possible to have thoughtful conversations, even if they may not share the same points of view. That's a good thing.

Continued:

Based on your post to Tim, my mission is accomplished here: your unconditional surrender, no matter how you want to dishonestly spin and deny that fact.

Unlike you, I will not respond in the future for now unless it's to correct one of your distortions, mischaracteriza tions or fabrications.

And it is up to you how often that will occur!

I see we now have people posing to be me. Tim, I was not the one to post in 10, it's an imposter.

John,

How utterly embarrassing for a disciple of Saul Alinsky to surrender in this manner.

But to go out with one last fabrication about talking to others from both sides who agree with you is about as low, yet, telling.

Your standard operating procedure, as I have noted time and time again, is nothing more than a routine of shtick (you so tellingly slipped by calling it "material") meant to get from point "A" to point "B" whether it be through distortion, mischaracteriza tion or fabrication - or in other words - the leftist mantra of "the ends justify the means."

Where Alinsky tactics fail is that they merely teach rules for being a radical and I guess he never lived long enough to come up with a set of rules to combat honesty.

And how ironic and sweet it is that Barack Obama is going through that same problem as we speak?

Harold, a recent poll showed that only 8% now say they are teaparty members. They are bleeding members and everyone knows why, it's a toxic movement. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/general_politics/january_2013/just_8_now_say_they_are_tea_party_members

They now at an all time low in favorability also

Tim, I have made a decision regarding posting. Personally, I think Frank is completely lost it and is knee deep in one conspiracy theory after another. I've spoken with many in the area on both sides of ideology and many even on the Right have a similar view of his letters and postings. Based on that I will no longer counter or respond to any of his posts, it's just not worth the time or effort to interact with someone that is just that far gone. I will check in from time to time and interact with others such as yourself, Jeff, and so on.

John,

It depends on how you view the Tea Party. I for one, do not associate myself with them, but I do like the viewpoints. So that in and of itself can skew numbers.

I believe that there is a large percentage of people out there that are very much against what is happening. Simply because they do not associate themselves with the Tea Party (like myself) doesn't mean they are for it. As a libertarian, I can assure you that we despise this law. Heck, even Dems are asking for a delay.

But this rasises another question for me... When are you and Frank going to leave these forums as I have repeatedly asked in prior postings of other articles? It appears as though many people are very much for that to happen.
