|Pines OKs bid for entrances|

The Northland Pines School Board awarded the bid of Miron Construction Co. of Menominee for security upgrades and related office furnishings at four schools at a meeting last week.
Miron submitted a base bid of $156,850, plus an additional $42,932 for the window security glazing. Total cost to the district, including a 10% contingency and $20,000 for office furnishings, is $218,508. The district had a budget of $225,000 for the project.The board approved the Miron Construction bid on a 4-0 vote.
