Frederick Earl Frederickson of Phelps died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at his home. He was 81.

Mr. Frederickson was born Nov. 5, 1931, in Leeman, the son of Frederick and Amanda (née Fisher) Frederickson.

He served in the U.S. Army 96th Gun Battalion, sta­tioned in Alaska.

He was employed as a laundry machine operator at the Coolwater Training School in Coldwater, Mich., and at the Hackey/Christiansen Pallet and Lumber Mill, working on the planer and band saw for more than  20 years.

Mr. Frederickson also as­sisted at the Phelps Town Dump and was a previous member of the VFW and American Legion.

Survivors include two brothers, Joe and Andy; and four sisters, Goldie, Mildred “Tootie,” Madeline and Genevieve.

A memorial service will be held Monday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at Twin Lakes Bible Church in Phelps.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Phelps Cemetery.
