Irene Annette (née Zehren) Collien, formerly of Mayville, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation in Lomira. She was 104.

Mrs. Collien was born Sept, 13, 1909, in Lomira, the daughter of Andrew and Mary (née Troll) Zehren.

She was united in marriage to Arthur Collien Nov. 20, 1930, in Beaver Dam.

She was employed by Charles Ruedebusch Co. in Mayville and also worked at Mayville Foodland.

Mrs. Collien helped her son, Arthur, run his motel  in Eagle River for eight years.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville and Mayville Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, in 1969; three brothers, Alois, Andrew and Lawrence; and four sisters, Adela Gust, Marie Zehren, Hildegard Schultz and Regina Zehren.

Survivors include her son, Arthur (Jean) of Eagle River; and one grandson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville with the Rev. Charles Wester presiding.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will take place at the Kekoskee Cemetery in Kekoskee.

Memorials may be made to Hope Health and Rehabilitation in Lomira.
