By Ken Anderson
News Correspondent

Eagle River City Attorney Steve Garbowicz told the city council last week the controversy continues over illuminating the street lights along Highway 45 north of the city.

The town of Lincoln has asked the Eagle River Light & Water Department to turn off the street lights on Highway 45 North from Airport Road to just past the animal hospital, according utility manager Pat Weber, who noted the town of Lincoln is a customer and the lights will be turned off due to the customer request.

Other lights along the highway are powered by Wisconsin Public Service (WPS)
