Vilas County Sheriff

A total of 293 complaints were entered by Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week.

The department reported at least 50 vehicle accidents, three requests for an ambulance, four animal problems, three requests for agency assistance, 13 burglar alarms, three burglaries, six requests for citizen assistance, one battery, one domestic violence complaint, two instances of found property, one case of fraud, two harassment complaints, two reports of lost property, three threats, eight re­ports of hazardous conditions, one juvenile prob­lem/runaway, two disturbances, seven reports of suspicious circumstances, six thefts, eight traffic violations,  five vacation checks, four welfare checks, 14 911 hang-ups, two reports of operating while intoxicated and three drug problems.

At least 15 calls were re­ferred to the Eagle River Police De­partment and there were at least 24 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, at least three people were booked at the Vilas County Jail, including one for operating while intoxicated, one for disorderly conduct and one for operating after revocation.

During the week, the in­mate population ranged from 84 to 86. As of Nov. 25, there were 84 inmates.

 

Monday, Nov. 18

- 5:42 p.m. - A?one-vehicle accident was reported on Mendow Land Point Road in Land O’ Lakes involving John E. Bergman of Rockford, Ill.

- 6:06 a.m. - A?one-vehicle accident was reported on Highway 47 near Arnett Road in Arbor Vitae involving Tammy J Rabenberg of Eagle River.

 

Eagle River Police

Among the calls received by Vilas County dispatchers were at least 27 calls for the Eagle River Police. These in­cluded three 911 hang-ups, two vehicle accidents, one request for agency assistance, one burglar alarm, one fire alarm, one request for an ambulance, three animal problems, one request for citizen assistance, two disturbances, one harassment complaint, one Lifeline alarm, one noise complaint, one vacation check, three suspicious circumstances, one theft, one hazard, one traffic violation and one report of an unsecure premise.

 

Three Lakes Police

This police department re­ported two vehicle accidents, two alarms, two animal problems, eight business checks, eight hazards, one welfare check, one informational re­port, one warrant arrest, one runaway, one scam, one service, one suspicious circumstance, two traffic stops, one report of trespassing and one vehicle in a ditch.
