|Hunting over bait is not real hunting|
Letter to the Editor:
In regard to baiting and feeding deer for hunting, I am totally against this. If you think about it, this is not real hunting.
Sometimes “hunters” put a couple hundred pounds of corn, carrots, etc., on the ground over a period of time during a couple of weeks before the season starts to attract deer. Then on opening day they climb into their tree stand and have a much better chance of getting a deer only because they are feeding them.I used to be a deer hunter, but because of my health I can no longer participate in the sport. When I?did hunt, for about 20 years, it was not over a baited area. It was the real way, with just my gun, myself and lots of patience.
I am not blaming anyone for bait hunting. This is all just my belief and opinion. I?have often wondered how the rule for bait hunting came about.
