Pines girls hockey wins first place at Fond du Lac

Fifteen players return to the ice

The Northland Pines High School girls hockey team captured first place over the weekend in the Fond du Lac Early Bird Tournament.

The team’s 15 returning letterwinners helped them accomplish the feat.

Those returning to play for the Eagles include seniors Lauren Czarapata, Jesse Wilkins and Jessica Roach; juniors Kali Ebert, Christine John, Allyson Sima, Cali Sanborn, Emily Saltenberger and Kali Boldebuck; and sophomores Katy Gwyn, Allison Sauvola, Joi Crass, Mikala Rubo, Natalie Decker and Jena Paez.

“Our team strength is our depth,”?said coach Patrick Schmidt.
