|Snomo safety course set Dec. 21-22|
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office will sponsor a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) certified snowmobile safety course Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 21-22.
The class — held in conjunction with the New-Tom Snow Fleas Snowmobile Club — will be held from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. both days at the Sloan Community Center at 7246 Main St. in Lake Tomahawk.
Those born on or after Jan. 1, 1985 and at least 12 years old must have snowmobile safety certification to operate in public areas.Students are now required to obtain a DNR customer identification number for any recreational safety class they attend.
