|Let’s spread the holiday spirit|
By Byron McNutt
’TIS THE SEASON to be jolly. We should all remember, a little appreciation from all goes a long way towards ensuring good cheer during the holiday season.
Think about this as you hurry through your pre-holiday paces, the third week of December is “Tell Someone You’re Doing a Good Job Week.” I first heard of this celebration in a Plain Talk column by the late Al Neuharth, USA Today founder.Neuharth said the idea was the brainchild of disc jockey Joe Hoppel who had a drive-time show on country music station WCMS in Virginia Beach, Va. The idea spread like wildfire and is now observed nationwide.
