Returned wallet a wonderful gift PDF Print E-mail

Letter to the Editor:

On Sunday, Dec. 15, while filling up at a local gas station, my wallet slipped out of my pocket. With it went my driver’s license, insurance cards, medical cards, several credit cards, library cards and virtually every form of identification I own.

But disaster was averted because a young mother and her son found my wallet on the ice, notified me at home, personally guarded it at the station for a long 30 minutes, returned it to me intact and then refused a reward.

If you know a lovely lady named Theresa and her son, Ben, kindly give them each a hug for me and wish them a wonderful holiday season. They guaranteed that our household will have one.
