Howard ‘Howie’ Schmeling PDF Print E-mail

Howard “Howie” Schmeling, a resident of Three Lakes since 1988, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, in Weston. He was 78.

Mr. Schmeling was born Nov. 19, 1935, in Edgerton to Stanley and Louella Schmeling.

He graduated from Milton High School in 1954, and retired from General Motors in 1987.

His interests included hunting, fishing, boating and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Schmeling was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn Terrill, and his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Marilyn of Three Lakes; one daughter, Sue Ann (Chris) Laing of Madison; one son, Steven of Sioux Falls, S.D.; one brother, James of Edgerton; one sister, Lynn (Steve) Hocking of Church Hill, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at a later date.
