Mrs. Turnquist was born Nov. 6, 1916, in Three Lakes and later moved to Milwaukee where she attended Bay View High School.
After a few years, she relocated to Land O’ Lakes and worked at the Gateway Hotel switchboard. It was during this time that she met and later married Walter S. Turnquist.Mrs. Turnquist was a founding member of the Land O’ Lakes Bible Church.
Her interests included making homemade bread and cinnamon rolls.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and all of her siblings.
Survivors include two sons, Michael (Beverly) of Menomonee Falls, and David (Arlene) of Bull Head City, Ariz.; two daughters, Barbara Whistler of Glen Ellyn, Ill., and Joan Riddick of Bellingham; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Land O’ Lakes Bible Church. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. The service will be at 11 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to Friends of Israel My Glory.
