The Northland Pines girls basketball team improved to 7-0 with two home wins against nonconference foes last week.
The first win of the week came last Tuesday against Hurley, 47-33, and that was followed by a 47-44 victory against Crandon Friday.
After a slow start for both teams, Northland Pines jumped out to a 19-10 halftime lead over Hurley. Lexi Smith and Kate Mendham each had five points in the half to pace the Eagles.
Pines outscored Hurley 28-23 in the second half to seal the win.
