|Vilas County tourism embraces trends|
Visitors spent $195.4 million in Vilas County in 2012 — an increase of 10% over 2011 — but tourism officials said they’re aware of a need to embrace the latest travel trends to ensure that tourism spending continues to increase in the coming years.
“We always try to keep up with the latest trends to make sure we’re reaching potential travelers in the best way possible,” said Cindy Burzinski, executive director of Vilas County Tourism & Publicity.
“We want to continue the great visitor spending and occupancy rates from the last few years, so it’s important to keep finding new ways to bring travelers to Vilas County,” she said.Here’s a look at some of the travel research that Vilas County Tourism & Publicity
