Trees For Tomorrow — a private nonprofit natural resources specialty school in Eagle River — will offer ski lessons to the public throughout the winter.

Based on participant needs, instruction for skiing on flat land may include learning how to fall and get up, weight balance/transfer, movement on skis, kicking and gliding, poling, double poling, and kick-double poling.

Instruction for skiing hills may include skills such as snowplowing, herringbone, snowplow turns and step turns.

Use of classic ski equipment will be included with the lesson.
