Can Chartier repeat?

Six former champs may battle for world title

With up to six former World Champions in the title race field, there’s a good chance there will be a repeat winner at the AMSOIL World Championship Snowmobile Derby this weekend.

The top professional snowmobile racers in the United States and Canada will be vying for the World Champion title at the Indianapolis 500 of snowmobile racing.

After winning a first world championship last year on a Ski-Doo, 25-year-old Malcolm Chartier of Fair Haven, Mich., will face the daunting task of repeating at Eagle River.
